Physics
qToday was the day i failed myself in the physics practical. I totally screwed my second question. First qn was new and ok but the second one on the marble was like argh, i did it better in prelims. Everyone was saying how easy O level would be and all, but i think its going to change this time round. Looks like i have to work really hard on my written paper.
Next monday is my chemistry practical, hope i get my titration value spot on and that the QA will go easy on me, after all my bio and physics are in a pityful plight. Then it would be the second time i am sitting for my stupid chinese exam. Totally dissapointed when i got a B3, looks like my oral didn't do me justice with only a merit. Starting to think that the oral examiner was biased as out of 11 in my class under HER only one lucky one got distinction. Maybe i need to be MIC to get distinction like my oral examiner.
The haze has finally lowered and for once in weeks my lungs do not feel overworked. Bless the hardworking farmers in THE COUNTRY for being so spontanous in burning the forest. Now the PSI is a comforting below 70 mark, and some of us find it redundant to post it on the tv screen now that its changed for the better. Yesterday i saw this really interesting interview with an air con service lady. She was interviewed as more singaporeans are staying at home and what do they do? turn on air-con. So more air-con turned on, more chance of it spoiling and the air-con repair industry comes into the picture. She was speaking in chinese and suddenly switched to english for a particular term, normally it should be scientific that chinese has no current vocab for, and guess what, she said "dust" . Like it was some really sci-fi word that only scientist knew, btw for the international audience, there is a chinese word for dust. So she was like yaking in chinese and then, quote" wo men you zhe ke, you call it dust, hui blah blah" it means we got this thing called dust and will blah blah. After hearing it i almost want to cry laughing but wells, at least now we know what is trapped in the air-con filter, is this super sci-fi thing called DUST!
Later they caught on flim this family saying that they turned on air-con 24 hours because their little precious children have to study. I am so against that, one use for air-con, Sleep. To think of it, does air-con help you to study? does it enlighten you in a shorter period of time? I don't think so , but of course i am saying this cause i am not one of the previlaged children of theirs. I only use air-con for sleeping, though it feels like i have never slept the next day.
